My journey to music came at a very young age. I started singing as soon as I could talk, and learned to play the piano when I was about 7 years old. I grew up in a small town outside of Flint, Michigan, where there weren’t many opportunities to thrive in the creative arts, so I spent the majority of my childhood honing my craft, studying classical music and Italian opera with a local voice coach.

At age 15, in an attempt at a heartfelt Christmas gift, I got my first microphone and audio interface so I could record myself singing covers to put on a CD for my parents. What I thought would be just a fun one-time project ended up opening an entirely new world of creation in music technology that satisfied both the creative and technical aspects of my interests.

After graduating high school in 2014, I attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA majoring in Music Production & Engineering, where I had the wonderful opportunity to learn the ins and outs of recorded music from some of the most renowned audio engineers and producers in the music industry. Being able to apply what I learned in industry-comparable studios while learning to collaborate with the best musicians in the world was the cherry on top of a world class education.

I graduated 3.5 years later with a Bachelor of Arts degree and moved to Los Angeles to work at one of the best recording studios in the country (and arguably the world), The Village Recorder, and now work as a senior staff engineer working with my idols and life-long musical inspirations. In addition to my job as senior engineer, I also work as a freelance music producer, songwriter, mixing engineer, and singer, working with a number of artists in the greater Los Angeles area.
